Glued some gold leaf into the deep grooves and it really made the looping design pop. The ceramic feels substantial and smooth, not cheap. Painted mine in under an hour and it already looks gallery-worthy.

The looping linear pattern on this plaque is what sold me, it's got such a cool retro feel once you paint it. I used underglazes on the unfinished surface and they went on smooth with no weird texture issues.

The 8-inch size gives me plenty of room to play with glazes, and the raised linear design catches the light really nicely once it's fired. I used it as a little trinket tray and it looks way more expensive than it was.
